French turns a German compound inside out. The thing itself comes first and everything describing it follows, which changes where your search terms sit in the title.

What has to change
- A German compound noun unwinds into a phrase. "Edelstahl-Küchenwaage" is not one French word, it is "balance de cuisine en inox" - the product first, the room second, the material last.
- Adjectives usually follow the noun. "Digitale Küchenwaage" becomes "balance de cuisine numérique", not "numérique balance de cuisine".
- Accents belong to the word. "Cafetière" and "cafetiere" are two different strings, and shoppers type both.
What a translator gets wrong
A word for word translation keeps the German order and produces "cuisine balance", which no shopper searches for.
The same title, both ways
Before
Nordhaus Digitale Küchenwaage 5 kg, Edelstahl
On amazon.fr
Nordhaus Balance de cuisine digitale 5 kg en inox
The material moved to the end behind "en", and "Küchenwaage" became three words.
